Point Clear
Point Clear, the Eastern Shore's westernmost point
of land, is located between Mobile Bay waters on two
sides. Unincorporated Point Clear is now home to
Marriot’s Grand Hotel, which originated 158 years
ago. “The Grand” boasts a full service spa, marina,
and two 18 hole championship golf courses which are
part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The
overwhelming beauty of this area is enhanced by the
views of Mobile Bay. The older homes are centered
along the Boardwalk which runs from the Grand on
south to Zundel’s Pier. There are also many
beautiful homes along the rolling pastures of the
old polo fields that are on larger estate size lots. |
